Commercial pilot here: I think this wheel is awesome. It couples with flight sim seamlessly. The play in the throttle/yoke connection is minimum at best, and the reason the throttle has an external wired connection to the yoke is so it can be mounted onto a home sim device or rack, independently from the yoke. With the yoke/throttle connected, the wire is barely noticeable, if at all. Really the only complaint I have at all, is the yoke and throttles are very loose. It NEEDS a tension adjuster. They almost break the immersion because it FEELS like you’re playing with a plastic controller with how loose they are. It’s an excellent controller, I’ve paired it with a self standing mount and Logitech rudders. It’s amazing, the tension is the only complaint.

Discontinued remember the more moving parts the more there is to go wrong! Quest 3 almost as good.

Pimax Crystal Ligth will be my next VR headset.

DO NOT GET THE X56!!! IT IS HORRIBLE. Get a Gladiator evo for stick and a good throttle.

For me it is unworkable. So slow in VR via FSdesktop. A a lot of bugs etc. Lets see next year.

DO NOT buy an X56 in 2024. They are the hottest garbage. I had two, returned both with non-stop ghost inputs on the throttle. Tried everything under the sun to get it to work from powered hubs, to isolating the throttle on its own USB bus, to backdoor installing the software and drivers Logitech hasn't even bothered updating for Windows 11 and it just doesn't function properly. I personally think its the hair thin, very poorly insulated wiring in the throttle cross talking with the potentiometers on the throttle. The price may be attractive, but trust me, save your money for Thrustmaster, VKB (what I ended up going with), Virpil or WinWing.

Hello. I am starting out into the sim and am deciding on my flight control.I was settling to get the Turtle Beach Flight Stick and have read many reviews on it. One big issue is the stiffness in the centre of the control. I don't think this will be an issue for me and this devices looks very nice over all the others same price range of controllers I have seen. Thinking more into this. I may just want a controller that almost resembles how a controller actually is on an aeroplane. So a yoke style device would be more ideal. Honeycomb from the looks of it does look very nice. I will be using it with the Microsoft Flight Simulator. My question is. Will I be able to use just this controller alone to fly any type of aircraft beside an airliner? I will not be able to get the rudder or the throttle extensions any time soon or will not be getting them period. Also, I don't want to invest and have many controllers as a collection. I just want one. Lastly, to all those honeycomb owners, have the white button fell off or broke on you. The flimsiness does look heartbroken for the price.

i have been trying to connect simionic g1000 for moths by now, i see you managed to do so but, how? been trying different methods but non of them seem to work, how did you connected the simionic g1000 to msfs?

I have a silly question about the radio panel, I want to buy this for my brother who loves flight sims but im not entirely educated with all the pilot terms, so would this product work in the way where if atc says to change to a certain frequency you can change to that frequency via this product and it would change in game aswell?

I like mine I got it in 2017 and its still working. its built solid I once had the throttle quadrant fall off my desk and it literally put a small hole in the floor. the only problem I had with it is the little ball switch on the throttle quad which has a mind of its own.

I bought this, and with the twin-engine aircraft I can only turn in circles at the start! No good explanation anywhere on how to create a profile for a beechcraft or other twin-engine aircraft in X plane. Hopefully you can help me further?

not for everybody sadly, fsdesktop does not work well with my Pimiax Crystal, pretty much useless since I upgraded from Reverb G2 where it worked flawlessly, in addition having to pay for extra software to use paid for software.. yeah not ideal ! Pretty much like navigraph for which I had to buy All-In-One Tablet as their implementation of VR is very poor compared to All-in-one tablet

Yes, it's a temp solution, but I surely hope, as you're saying, that we will get a proper VR implementation of BATC and that we will get our window from the toolbox menu like SayIntentions already does!

Weirdly I flew this exact same route yesterday and had no issues with the approach or landing, however I've definitely noticed it has issues with understanding "niner". A few times I had to read frequencies back very slowly like you to be understood, but always ones with a 9.

Before you get a VR headset, I'd try and test it out first. I got a VR headset for DCS and found that I got extremely nauseated using it (could only play for like 15 minutes at a time doing maneuvers before I felt like puking). I've heard other people say the same thing. Honestly, I'd recommend a headtracker first. Many DCS players simply use the headtracker and do just fine. The tough part with the headtracker is you need to eliminate the light coming into the room as that can mess up the track IR.
